Lothian is proud to host ALBUM 2023, showcasing the best of bus travel under the backdrop of Edinburgh’s iconic landscape. Lothian last hosted the event in 2013 and is excited to welcome operators and suppliers from across the industry back to Edinburgh this year.
Lothian has been keeping Edinburgh moving for over 100 years, connecting local communities across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
With over 70 services and 700 buses running day and night throughout the year, Lothian are part of the fabric of the local communities we serve, providing key and critical journeys for our customers. We are proud that our fleet is among the youngest in the UK and we are committed to investing in our fleet going forward.

Lothian also operates various NightBus services throughout the night, connecting many areas of the city with communities in East Lothian, West Lothian and Midlothian, ensuring Lothian operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
Lothian’s Airlink 100 operates as an express between Edinburgh Airport and the City Centre. The premium service runs every 10 minutes during the day and transports tourists into the heart of Edinburgh at the beginning of their holiday. Our Skylink 200 and 400 services links Edinburgh Airport to other areas of the city offering safe reliable travel throughout the day.
In West Lothian, Lothian Country operates four key routes between the region and Edinburgh. Lothian Country’s X18, X27 and X28 services connect the communities of the region with Edinburgh city centre and are popular with commuters in the region.

Edinburgh Bus Tours is Lothian’s city tours branch, showcasing the best view of Edinburgh from their open top buses. Lothian has three signature city centre tours, including the iconic CitySightseeing brand. Our Edinburgh Tour offers tourists and residents alike the chance to see Edinburgh in a whole new way, complete with a live tour guide, who’s knowledge of the city enhances the tour experience.
Edinburgh Bus Tours’ Majestic Tour captures some of the city’s most iconic landmarks and attractions, travelling through the north of the city, the Majestic Tour stops by the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Palace of Holyrood House and The Royal Yacht Britannia. Edinburgh Bus Tours also offers a half-day experience ‘Bus and Boat’ tour, going to the iconic three bridges of the River Forth before a quiet sail across the river and back.
Lothian Motorcoaches is Lothian’s private hire and day touring branch. With day tours to Loch Ness and Loch Lomond, Lothian Motorcoaches is extremely popular with tourists looking to see a glimpse of what Scotland has to offer further afield during their stay.
